Position SummaryWe're seeking a motivated leader to join our experienced team of rehab clinicians! This opening is with Windham Hospital's outpatient office in Willimantic, CT. This is a multidisciplinary clinic that offers an opportunity to collaborate with surgeons performing state of the art robotic surgical care. This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse neurologic and orthopedic population that offers a wonderful team atmosphere with experienced clinicians and some of the best orthopedic physicians, nurses and physician assistants in New England! In this leadership position, you will collaborate with an energetic rehabilitation team and have the opportunity for continuum of care and best practice creation for different patient populations. In addition, you will have an opportunity to collaborate with the inpatient rehab and Occupational Health departments at Windham Hospital and to develop relationships with colleagues in area. This office has a focus for patient care in the area of outpatient neuro, orthopedics, sports medicine and manual therapy. Specialty programs in the office include musculoskeletal disorders, neurological disorders, hand therapy (CHT), sports medicine, safe steps-balance/fall prevention, headache management, osteoporosis, bariatric rehab, vestibular rehab, work injury rehab, manual therapy and more!Apply now to join our growing team! Position Description Position is Monday-Friday, full time, 40 hours/week, with some evenings required until 7pm. The Site Supervisor supervises the operational activities of the Outpatient Rehab Site and collaborates with Rehab Leadership on the management of patient care, day-to-day operations and department personnel. The Site Supervisor is responsible for staff development, hiring, supervising and evaluating team members. The Site Supervisor utilizes operating model to assist with supply management, policies and procedures, patient scheduling, patient and staff safety, operational monitoring, regulatory compliance, employee engagement and the overall timeliness and quality of services provided to customers. The Site Supervisor is responsible for metrics reporting and dashboards, as well as referral management. This is a treating/management position. In addition to direct patient care responsibilities, this position ensures that high quality, cost effective services are delivered in support of the organizations strategic plan, goals and objectives. Responsibilities:
Responsible for the supervision of the overall daily operations, coordination, and delivery of direct and indirect outpatient care. Supervision of all outpatient staff and considerable decision-making authority concerning daily activities of the clinic, including providing recommendations for department policy change. Establishing performance expectations; coaching, developing, and evaluating performance to enable employees to be successful in contributing to the achievement of individual and department objectives. Informing and advising superior on hiring and disciplinary actions. Provides safe and appropriate patient evaluations treatments and documentation. Requires the ability to exercise discretion and use of good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction. Contributing to the development of meaningful goals and objectives for the department that align with the strategic direction of the organization by analyzing needs and developing recommendations. Communicating the goals and objectives to the staff and monitors progress during the year. Contributing to the efficient operation of the unit by establishing priorities, eliminating impediments, and resolving problems. Continually striving to improve the quality and productivity of the department by establishing priorities, monitoring performance measurements, identifying and recommending improvement opportunities, and eliminating obstacles. Actively seeking opportunities to model teamwork through collaboration both within and outside the department in support of the organization's objectives. These standards allow us to bring out the very best in our clients and our staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in physical, occupational, or speech therapy required, Master's or DPT preferred. Licensed in the state of CT as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT) or Speech Therapist (SLP) required. Minimum 5 years' clinical experience with a m inimum three (3) years previous experience as a therapist in an outpatient setting required. Experience as clinical instructor or mentor required; Prior experience in a leadership role preferred Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint as well as electronic health records and other software applications required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information. Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use).Working knowledge of the State Practice Acts for therapists, Federal Medicaid and Medicare regulations. Thorough knowledge and application of therapy principles and practices. Proven leadership ability to develop and mentor staff. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with employees, departments, physicians and managers. Ability to work collaboratively with all healthcare providers. Good time management skills. Strong commitment to customer service. Works efficiently and organizes time appropriately. Ability to prioritize daily work assignments. Must be flexible, a team player and able to work efficiently in a hectic work environment. Proficient skills in windows based software. Problem Solving and Decision Making Considerable decision making authority concerning the daily activities of the clinic, including providing recommendation for department policy change. Requires the ability to take the appropriate action in response to changes, circumstance, or problems.
